Lake Mead officials warn boaters to play it safe

In the wake of Monday's boating tragedy that claimed four lives and seriously injured three others, Lake Mead officials are reminding the public that safety on the water is of utmost importance now that boating season has arrived.
The National Park Service recommends boaters:
She added that an increase in boating collisions in recent years, either between boats or boats crashing into the shore, were typically caused by a lack of training on the operator's part, not knowing the rules of the road, reckless operation, and speed.
