Martin-Mathews to seek re-election

"I think it is important to see through those initiatives which convinced me to first run in 1994," she said.
Among other things, Mathews pledged continued support for efforts to improve public education and reduce class sizes.
The economy and juvenile justice reform are other top priorities, she said.
"Education needs to stay as one of our top priorities," Mathews said. "Our children need to be given the tools and technology to be able to compete effectively going into the 21st century."
