Letter: Build parks, schools, not neighborhood casinos
Monday, March 16, 1998 | 10:18 a.m.
Although I do not live in the Summerlin area, I plan to soon. The reason I and many other residents have chosen this area is to get away from the clutter of the city. To say we have enough casinos is an understatement.
What about the schools that are still needed? What about the parks we have a shortage of? It the city was as concerned with the growth problem as they say, they'd stop giving permits for casinos to be built and concentrate on more family-oriented projects.
