Noe Xavier Arzola, an infant, died Saturday, his day of birth, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Barrows, his father, Javier Arzola, and one brother, Leo Aguilar, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Amanda Aguilar of Las Vegas and Jacqueline Arzola of Oxnard, Calif.; and his grandparents, Lillian and Efrain Alvarez and James Williams Barrows Jr., all of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
EFFIE G. BALDWIN
Effie G. Baldwin, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 1, 1906, in Oregon. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Denkers, and one sister, Agnes Reynolds, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
YOLANDRA FLETCHER-KING
Yolandra Fletcher-King, 43, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 17, 1955, in Marlin, Texas. A resident for three years, she was a bookkeeper in the entertainment industry.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald King; three daughters, Kamilah King of Irvington, N.J., and Shatara King and Shanese King, both of Las Vegas; and one grandson.
Services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
LORRAINE C. HERNANDEZ
Lorraine C. Hernandez, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 44 years, she was born May 30, 1918, in San Francisco.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Hodapp of Boulder City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
MARVIN LEWIN
Marvin Lewin, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1924, in California. A resident for six months, he was a manager.
He is survived by his friend, Trudy Friesh of Las Vegas.
Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
FRANCES O'NEILL
Frances O'Neill, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1926, in Clayton, Ga. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; one daughter, Sherry Sirianni of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
ROBERTA 'BOBBIE' J. PHILIPS
Roberta "Bobbie" J. Philips, 66, of Marina, Calif., died Thursday in Marina. She was born July 30, 1931, in Las Vegas. A former resident for 41 years, she was a 20-year employee in property management, enjoyed reading, the outdoors and spending time with her children.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas A.; three sons, Lee Gnesa of Carson City and John Bronswood and Mike Bronswood, both of Warwick, R.I.; three daughters, Debbie Avilla and Lisa Malone, both of Salinas, Calif., and Kathy Romans of Las Vegas; six sisters, Jackie Goddard of The Dalles, Ore., Laura Foster of Cedar City, Utah, Ruby Fister of Bradenton, Fla., Connie Wimberley of Simi Valley, Calif., Pat Napier of Harlen, Ky., and Katy Garcia of Independence, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
No local services are scheduled. Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove, Calif., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 220 Country Club Gate, Suite 22, Pacific Grove, CA 93950.
JOSEPH ANTHONY ROMERO
Joseph Anthony Romero, 39, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 11, 1958, in Santa Fe, N.M. A resident for 31 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Ana; one son, Joseph Anthony Romero Jr., his mother, Dolores Romero, and two brothers, Steve Romero and Robert Romero, all of Las Vegas; and five sisters, Sandra Romero, Shirley Valazquez, Pricilla Cotto and Rita Benyak, all of Las Vegas, and Debbie Pace of Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Church services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church.
