Wayne Cameron, a White Pine County commissioner and regional manager for Paratransit Services, said Paratransit acquired a Public Service Commission for Trans Nevada Stages, which ended its runs in 1995.
Twice weekly Ely-Las Vegas service began in November 1996 and costs $44 one way and $79 for a round trip. The Reno runs cost $63 one way and $104 round trip with less expensive trips through Eureka, Austin, Fernley and Fallon.
The proposed Ely-Elko service would go through Eureka and Carlin once a week and through Wells on the other, the Elko Daily Free Press reported.
