StumbleGerlach man injured in accidental shooting

Chris Minto, 26, and a friend were going coyote hunting north of Gerlach when the accident occurred Sunday morning, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said Minto was a passenger in a vehicle and was holding his hunting rifle between his legs with the barrel pointed up when the vehicle hit a bump.
The rifle fired, striking Minto in the chest.
Minto was listed in satisfactory condition at Washoe Medical Center.
