MGM officials are scheduled to announce this week that a provincial board has approved the casino. Gaming analysts says the project could become a $400 million annual gaming market.
Las Vegas-based MGM will join South African conglomerate Tsogo Sun in building the 250-room hotel that will have 2,000 slots and 75 table games. The casino is expected to open in 2000.
