Letter: Who should sit in judgment of candidates’ campaign signs?
Friday, June 26, 1998 | 10:07 a.m.
Since when does one have to have feminine signs for women and masculine signs for men? Isn't this a campaign to win? The sign that can be seen while driving by just may be the sign with the person attached to it that wins.
Who cares if it is hand-painted with whatever it takes to achieve the bright yellow wanted? After all, isn't yellow close to the color that God wanted for the things that he wanted us to notice in the heavens, such as the sun?
Who has the time to notice little details like roads, flags, etc. on signs? I also takes a lot of money to have signs made.
Genie Ohrenschall's signs are the best of all, noticeable, clear and easy to read. She and her family have done a remarkable job on them.
To all of you who complain about it, I wish I had your cushy job of sign judging. How much do you make doing this?
Probably more than an assemblywoman who is and has done an excellent job for four years and will also continue when she wins again this time. She gets my vote for best signs.
