Fledgling bald eagle about to take flight

Wildlife officials say a bald eagle fledgling is spreading its wings and moving around in the tree west of Virginia Beach in preparation for its first flight.
Once it takes off, it will be Nevada's first recorded native-born bald eagle in more than 120 years.
The same pair of eagles had a fledgling a year ago in the same tree, but it apparently was blown out during a strong storm.
This year's mating produced two chicks, but only one survived. Wildlife biologists say sibling rivalry usually reduces multiple eaglets to one.
