LAKE MEAD -- Shore anglers and boaters are having very good success for striped bass while the action continues to be fair to good for largemouth bass and channel catfish. Stripers ranging from two to three pounds are being caught from shore at Las Vegas Wash, Hemenway Harbor, Government Wash and Gypsum Wash. Boaters are having luck at these locations as well as Roadrunner Cove, the Meat Hole, Rogers Bay and the Meadows. Most of the success for stripers has come to anglers who are using frozen sardines and squid for bait. There have been reports of a few fish falling to top water lures. Largemouth bass are being taken from shallow water in coves around Temple Bar and the Virgin River. Catfish are being caught at night in shallow water.
