"We're still working through details on both," promoter Phil Immordino said.
Safety and traffic concerns prompted the Nevada Department of Transportation last week to block plans for a July 11 bull run down Mesquite Boulevard, a seven-lane business route for Interstate 15.
Immordino met with representatives of the Mesquite Resort Association Tuesday to consider alternate routes. He said the event could be held at the rodeo grounds in the town of 10,000, some 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Another option is a road near the Oasis hotel-casino.
"Everything is definitely full steam ahead," Immordino said.
The event would replicate the 400-year-old running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.
The Humane Society of the United States has protested the bull run, calling is inhumane.
