Gladys East, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired laborer for a manufacturing firm.

She is survived by one son, Mike East of Laughlin; two daughters, Gail Cartwright of Las Vegas and Lola Edwards of Laughlin; two sisters, Tillie Nielsen of Las Vegas and Evelyn Stimmel of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

MILDRED ELLEN EDDY

Mildred Ellen Eddy, 85, of Las Vegas died May 27 in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a legal secretary.

She is survived by one son, Douglas Eddy; one brother, Theodore Osolin; and one sister, Alma Osolin.

ROGER DALE EDWARDS

Roger Dale Edwards, 48, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1949, in Taft, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a heavy equipment operator for 25 years and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Patt; three daughters, Susan Edwards of Las Vegas, DeeDee Edwards of Arizona and Belinda Bannister of North Las Vegas; two sons, Nick Bannister of North Las Vegas and John Benjamin of Bakersfield, Calif.; his mother, Pauline Hulsey of Bakersfield; one brother, Jim Edwards of Oklahoma; three sisters, Carol Harnes, Julie Snook of Chloride, Ariz., and Paula Sinclair of Colorado; and five grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2121 Western Ave., Suite A-3, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Operating Engineers Local 12, 360 Shadow Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89106.

DOMINICK ANTHONY GAUDIO

Dominick Anthony Gaudio, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 17, 1929, in New York City. A resident for eight years, he was a retired chemist in the photography industry and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Lana Miller of Las Vegas; one brother, John Gaudio of North Hollywood, Calif.; three sisters, Rose Corrieri of Floral Park, N.Y., and Helen Gaudio and Lola Gaudio, both of Los Angeles; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

PHYLLIS JEAN HEINTZ

Phyllis Jean Heintz, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Indiana. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Siegfried Heintz; four daughters, Denice Hofmann, Mary Hartwig, Elizabeth Grigg and Michele Heintz; and seven grandchildren.

CARLOTA CABRERA LOMAS

Carlota Cabrera Lomas, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Mexico. A resident for 34 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Luz Bonilla and Luz Marina Lomas-Bolanos, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Francisco Lomas and Jose Maria Mesa, both of Mexico; three sisters, Leonor Morales of Las Vegas and Margarita Diaz and Maria Navarro, Mexico; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

JESUS LOPEZ

Jesus Lopez, 72, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1926, in Havana. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired dealer and a founding member of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Aida; one daughter, Terrie Fonte of Henderson; three sisters, Olga Perez and Eulalia Requejo, both of Las Vegas, and Aida Valdez of Florida; two brothers, Ernesto Lopez of Florida and Guillermo Lopez of Cuba; and one grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

MARTHA MADDOCKS

Martha Maddocks, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Ruliffson and Carol Fisher, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Jon Fisher of Las Vegas and Richard Fisher of Washington, D.C.; her mother, Leona Conklin of Alexandria, Va.; six brothers, Bob Foringer and Fred Foringer, both of Butler, Pa., Frank Foringer and Jim Foringer, both of Jamestown, N.Y., and Donnie Foringer and David Foringer, both of Alexandria; one sister, Nancy Foringer of Alexandria; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Trinity Life Center. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

ROBERT L. MASON

Robert L. Mason, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. He was born May 26, 1948, in California. A resident for 47 years, he was a dealer.

He is survived by two sons, Ricki Mason and Derrick Mason; his parents, Major and Mary E. Brown; two brothers, Al Mason and Lee Mason; seven sisters, Kathryn Williams, Carol R. Arberry, Brenda Mason, Helen Jones, Joyce Walker, JoAnn Mason and Debra Mason-Green; and four grandchildren.

Services will be noon Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Manuel P. Moniz, of Las Vegas died Sunday.

LAWRENCE KENT MOYLAN

Lawrence Kent Moylan, 63, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Bayard, Iowa. A resident for seven years, he was a retired administrative associate for an aeronautics firm and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by three brothers, Tim Moylan of Nashville, Tenn., Bernard Moylan and Michael Moylan of Las Vegas.

MAUREEN RHODES

Maureen Rhodes, 43, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 3, 1954, in Pittsburgh. A resident for seven years, she was a retail clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; her mother, Marie Boyle; four brothers, Steve, Dan, Skip and Scott; and two sisters, Pam Cassidy and Kelley Roberts.

JACK W. ROWLAND

Jack W. Rowland, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 18, 1927, in Hector, Ark. A resident for six years, he was a retired electronics inspector for an aerospace firm.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; three sons, Jack Louis Rowland of Riverside, Calif., Rocky Morris Rowland of Long Beach, Calif., and Richard Lee Rowland of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kitty Lynn Lowery of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

FRANK V. SCHAAN

Frank V. Schaan, 80, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Balta, N.D. A resident for five years, he was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lugard; three sons, Dennis Schaan of Las Vegas, Donald Schaan of San Francisco and Dean Schaan of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two daughters, Dianne Veatch of Brandon, Fla., and Doris Jean Rittenour of Benson, Minn.; nine brothers and sisters; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Church.

John Ramon Seidler, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 8, 1907, in New York. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired manager for maintenance workers.

He is survived by his wife, May; one son, Ramon John Seidler of Corvallis, Ore.; one daughter, Pamela P. Monaco of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Regency Village Clubhouse, Nellis and Charleston boulevards. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

LAVONNE SHAW

Lavonne Shaw, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Los Angeles. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker and past president of Las Vegas Emblem Club 114.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Drollinger of Las Vegas, Sandra Helms of Bakersfield, Calif., and Phyllis Wicinski of Long Beach, Calif.; one son, Stephen Shaw of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

NICK G. WEBER

Nick G. Weber, 97, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 9, 1900, in Hastings, Minn. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired restaurateur.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Weber of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mary L. Weckwirth, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Port Reading, N.J. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Walter H.; two daughters, Joanne Scofi and Christie Begemy, both of Florida; one brother, James Rossi of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
