Curtis Hartz, 59, had pleaded guilty in April to one count of taking cash from the cage at the downtown Las Vegas casino during the May 1997 World Series of Poker.
He was a Binion's employee at the time, and the incident was captured on surveillance tapes.
Hartz was found three months later in a small northern Minnesota town. It was discovered he had bought a 102-acre farm with $50,000 in cash.
He has since returned about $70,000 of the money.
