Second Woman Reports Abuse at Eagle Valley Middle School
Wednesday, June 3, 1998 | 1:23 a.m.
The account of the May 21 attack follows a report last week by the mother of another Eagle Valley student that her daughter was terrorized and physically abused by other students.
Gina Armentino said her daughter, Linda, was beaten in a hallway in front of the school's attendance office.
"I've got five names," she said. "One of them kicked my daughter in the lower abdomen, hard."
The girl was taken to an urgent care center and later to Carson-Tahoe Hospital where she was treated for abdominal contusions.
Armentino also said no students have been suspended despite a requirement for suspensions in such cases.
"I talked to the principal (Sue Keema) and Vice Principal Fred Perdomo," Gina Armentino said. "Mr. Perdomo told me the school was working on it.""
