Charles Edward Elliott, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 5, 1935, in Texas. A resident for 16 years, he was a retail sales clerk at Sears for 20 years and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Lois.

ALBERT FERREIRA

Albert Ferreira, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 19, 1922, in Hanamaulu, Hawaii. A resident for 19 years, he was a salesman at the Landmark hotel-casino.

He is survived by his wife, Jean T.; two daughters, Bernadette Cypriano and Mary Ferreira, both of Honolulu; one brother, Henry Ferreira of Lihue, Hawaii; and one grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Viator Catholic Church. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

RAYMOND A. GRAMM

Raymond A. Gramm, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 14, 1913, in Menno, S.D. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired real estate broker.

He is survived by his wife, Irma E.; two sisters, Selma Hartsaugh and Alice Narney, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Leon E. Gramm and Willard V. Gramm, both of Las Vegas, and Milton Gramm of Washington, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

GARY WAYNE HENLEY

Gary Wayne Henley, 46, of Las Vegas died May 26 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1951, in Ohio. A resident for 17 years, he was a salesman and advertising executive at a radio station.

He is survived by four sisters, Linda Kincer, Pamela Warson, Diana Allor and Rebecca Kaufman.

MARA LOUISE IVY

Mara Louise Ivy, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1909, in Vincennes, Ind. A resident for 54 years, she was an apartment complex manager.

She is survived by two daughters, Myrna Beardon of Glendale, Ariz., and Karen Mikkelson of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

GARY DOYLE JENKINS

Gary Doyle Jenkins, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a musician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Maurine Jenkins.

DOUGLAS MILFORD JOHNSON

Douglas Milford Johnson, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Ogden, Iowa. A resident for 13 years, he was a government contracted aircraft mechanic, a Navy veteran and a member of the Masons and the Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Tamera Hixon; his mother, Ruth Rose Johnson; one brother, Timothy Johnson; one sister, Joan Lingren; and one grandchild.

DOUGLAS H. KEARNS

Douglas H. Kearns, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born Nov. 8, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a 21 dealer.

He is survived by one daughter, Anna M.; his mother, Gladys M. Kearns of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Christopher L. Kearns of Louisville, Colo., and Clifford L. Kearns and Robert A. Kearns, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 9 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

ARTHUR R. LANGNER

Arthur R. Langner, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born June 10, 1907, in Illinois. A resident for 24 years, he was an advertising salesman and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle; and one daughter, June Smith.

THOMAS LEE MARSHALL

Thomas Lee Marshall, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for seven years, he was a retired land manager for an oil company, a member of Masonic Lodge 224, Kern County Shrine and past patron Eastern Star 125, all in Bakersfield, Calif., a member of Scottish Rite and Al Malaika Shrine Temple, Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Shelba; one daughter, Doriene Gray of Salt Lake City; two sons, Thomas L. Marshall II of Chino Hills, Calif., and Kenneth Marshall of Bakersfield; one brother, Gerald Eugene Marshall of Poulsbo, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park.

KORDON MELCHIZEDEK

Kordon Melchizedek, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1946, in Napa Valley, Calif. A resident for 21 years, he was an architectural draftsman.

He is survived by two brothers, Voltan and Elis; and two sisters, Bab Pachello and Sandy Caton.

FRANK E. MEYERS

Frank E. Meyers, 91, of Vancouver, Wash., died Sunday in Vancouver. He was born May 23, 1907, in Alpena, S.D. A former Las Vegas resident for 10 months, he was a retired electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Betta Rodriguez and Sharon Rodriguez, both of Las Vegas; one son, Dean Meyers of Carlsbad, Calif.; one sister, Hazel Sparks of Sacramento; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Calvary Community Assembly of God, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens.

ENRIQUE MORA

Enrique Mora, 23, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1975, in Baldwin Park, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was disabled.

He is survived by one brother, Che Alvardo, and his grandparents, Cecilia and Eulalio Quintero, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Janet Ann Petersen, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1934, in South Dakota. A resident for 22 years, she was a flea market vendor.

She is survived by her husband, Alan; one son, Daniel Allen Grogan of Denver; one daughter, Kim Marie Grogan of Azle, Texas; one brother, Ken La Furge of Pierre, S.D.; and four grandchildren.

MARY JANE ROWLEY

Mary Jane Rowley, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 26, 1934, in Michigan. A resident for 24 years, she was a manager of a dry cleaners and a member of the Newcomers Club of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; one daughter, Gail Carson of Sparks; and two sisters, Betty Moeller of Las Vegas and Ina Arevigian of Detroit.

SAMUEL R. SALDE

Samuel R. Salde, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in a Baltimore hospital. He was born June 9, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was the former owner of the Palladium/Area 51 nightclub and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Bernadette Bridger and Pam Thomas, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Sam Salde Jr., and his father, Michael Salde, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Verna Jackson of Bemus Point, N.Y., and Carol Grisanti of Hidden Hills, Calif.; one brother, Charles Salde of Hinckley, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens.

HARLOW RICHARD SAWIN

Harlow Richard Sawin, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1940, in South Dakota. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired Clark County School District teacher for 25 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Lynne Jantz, and one son, Rick Sawin, both of Las Vegas; his father, Guy Sawin of Lead, S.D.; one brother, Bernie Sawin of Denver; two sisters, Evella Harsch of Vancouver, Wash., and Tacy Prince of Lead; and four grandchildren.

JOSEPH MARC SCHMOUTEY

Joseph Marc Schmoutey, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Kingman, Ariz. He was born May 28, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an engineer for the state of Nevada and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marleen; two daughters, Joy Schmoutey and Brook Stephens, three sons, Terrence Schmoutey, Jarrett Stephens and Jordan Stephens, and his mother, Bea Schmoutey, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Desert View LDS Church. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

MARDEEN SKELLY

Mardeen Skelly, 76, of Indian Springs died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Park City, Utah. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Holdaway of Indian Springs and Pamela Salvato of Pismo Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Lamerle Vantassell of Las Vegas and Elaine Prescott of Kamas, Utah; two brothers, Willie Dee Sweeney of Las Vegas and Kent Sweeney of Idaho; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

ROBERT JOHN WILGAR

Robert John Wilgar, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 58 years, he was a glazier for Wilgar Brothers Glass Co.

He is survived by three daughters, Jerrie Kearnes of Mesquite, Jackie Jones of Henderson and Judy Black of Las Vegas; two sons, David Wilgar of Las Vegas and Dana Wilgar of Junction, Utah; one brother, Mickey Wilgar of Utah; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in the LDS Sixth Ward. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
