In regard to the plan to bury nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain, Clark County Commissioner Myrna Williams stated in the May 31 edition of the Las Vegas Sun: "We're a state that doesn't use it (nuclear power), but we're expected to have all the liabilities." This is untrue.
This statement by Williams, and most of our Nevada elected officials, is misleading and shows their lack of understanding of the part nuclear power plays in producing products we Nevadans enjoy.
