Youths burned by homemade bomb

Two 15-year-old boys walked into a Truckee Meadows fire station on Thursday with second-degree burns on their face, hands, arms and legs, a spokesman for the Washoe County sheriff's office said.
The youths apparently filled a plastic soda bottle with black power and then soaked a rag in gasoline to use as a fuse. They lit the bomb and it exploded on them.
Firefighters treated the youths and transported them to the Washoe Medical Center where they received additional treatment. The county's consolidated bomb unit is continuing to investigate.
