Police seek vehicles seen in vicinity of shooting
Tuesday, July 28, 1998 | 3:13 a.m.
Michael W. Page, 44, was found dead near a gazebo on the morning of July 17.
The previous night, police responded to the park on reports of gunshots, but officers found no evidence of a shooting.
Police on Tuesday said witnesses reported seeing two vehicles leaving the area right after gunshots were heard.
One car is described as a mid 1980s Ford Escort, light blue in color, with shiny rims.
The other is a newer model, dark green Ford Explorer with a gray or tan stripe along the bottom.
Officers said it's unknown whether occupants in the vehicles were involved in the crime or may be witnesses.
Anyone with information on the vehicles is asked to call Reno police or Secret Witness.
Police believe Page's killing was a random act of violence.
