Gail Imazaki is the new Ms. Senior Nevada
Monday, July 27, 1998 | 1:43 a.m.
Imazaki, 62, is a retired Los Angeles nurse who moved to the Las Vegas community of Sun City in February 1997. Miss Senior America 1991 Lori Hargrave Sanchez also lives in Sun City and Imazaki credits her with pushing her.
"Here's the reason I entered this pageant," Imazaki said, pulling Sanchez close after winning Sunday. "We were in a talent program together. She has given me so much warmth and support."
Beverly Shows of Las Vegas was named first runner-up, and Anita Saunders of Reno was second runner-up.
Winning the state title qualifies Imazaki for the Miss Senior America pageant to be held Sept. 2 to 6 in Wilmington, Del.
