Letter: McDonald’s award for knee injury seems too high, at the least
Wednesday, July 1, 1998 | 10:22 a.m.
No doubt the $181,000 award for Councilman/policeman Michael McDonald's knee injury will help him get over his depression, especially because he has more lawsuits lined up down the road.
Interesting how one can manage five accidents in a few months which all caused injury to the same knee.
One thing is certain: If I had a life-altering knee injury, you can bet your booties I would not be vaulting a brick wall like Rambo unless I wanted to collect disability.
Judge Jack Lehman's award was extremely high -- all things considered -- but cops, politicians and judges all get to know each other.
I agree with attorney Kent Robison that McDonald is blaming unrelated incidents for the same injury.
