The Off Broadway Theater Actors Workshop of Creative Talent will present its first 1998 showcase at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at the theater, 900 E. Karen Ave. Scenes and monologues from movies, television and theater will be performed by the students. Admission is free.

The Off Broadway Theater will hold auditions for James Sherman's "Beau Jest," directed by Carl Button, at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 and 5 p.m. Feb. 8. Parts are available for four men, ages 20 to 66, and two women, 20 to 65. The auditions will take place at the theater, 900 E. Karen Ave. Actors should prepare to read from the play.
