Clark County Commissioner Myrna Williams reported $278,097 in leftover funds, more than any officeholder. Williams said she will use the money in her next campaign or for office expenses.
The reports were due Friday at the secretary of state's office.
Bruce Woodbury, another Clark County commissioner, reported he had $119,694 in leftover funds. Woodbury said he gave $21,829 to nonprofit organizations, spent $22,224 on office expenses and gave $5,850 to the campaigns of others.
Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio, R-Reno, reported $85,026 in leftover funds, the most for a northern Nevada officeholder. He spent $19,829 on office expenses, political contributions and charitable donations.
Raggio also said he may spend the surplus on his next election campaign - a surprise considering widespread speculation that he would retire from office or not seek re-election in 2000.
Attorney General Frankie Sue Papa reported $9,327 was left from her last campaign in 1994. She spent $3,772 on office expenses, $2,117 on political party expenses and $425 on contributions to other campaigns.
Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus, D-Las Vegas, said she had $8,487 left from her last campaign. She spent $415 on phone expenses, $292 on travel, $787 on contributions and $1,239 on office expenses.
Clark County Commissioner Lorraine Hunt reported $46,373 in leftover funds. She spent $16,579 on campaign expenses, $125 on campaigns of others and made $1,865 in charitable donations.
