Prospective students should call the School of Arts admissions office at (336) 770-3291 or the summer session office, (336) 770-3204, to request an application. Separate applications and application fees are required for the regular school year and the summer session. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 23. Upon receipt of the application and fee, the applicant will be notified of his or her audition time and place.
For dancers in its year-round program, the North Carolina School of the Arts offers a bachelor of fine arts, a college arts diploma (college-level study of the discipline without academics) and the high school diploma with arts concentration.
The summer session in dance is a five-week program that provides extensive, disciplined training in ballet and contemporary dance.
