Pets can do wonders for patients having tough time

I go see my wife morning and afternoon. I also see many elderly people, men and women, with sad faces.
I also carry my dog in at least four or five times a week. When I walk in the rotunda with my dog under my arm, I see smiles. I stop at everyone who can smile; they want to pet her, and she loves it.
These people are very ill, but they still remember a love for a pet. One elderly, cute lady, who could not talk, threw a kiss for my dog, then petted her. It has to make anyone think for a moment; take that pet to its best friend in bed.
