Robert I. Baker, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 12, 1928, in Adrian, Mich. A 20-year resident, he was a hotel security guard and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; three sons, Robert Baker Jr. of Denver, Scott Baker and Mike Flewelling of Seattle; five daughters, Theresa Kip, Debra Foster, Jeri Baker and Renee Flynn, all of Las Vegas, and Kami Boyle of Hamlett, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

WALT COX

Walt Cox, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Moline, Ill. A 46-year resident, he was a retired automotive service manager and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, Mitch Cox of Las Vegas; his mother, Goldie Beck of Boulder City; two brothers, Cliff Cox of Las Vegas and Chauncey Cox of Medford, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the YMCA, 4141 Meadows Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89107.

EMERY G. DYER

Emery G. Dyer, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Jerry City, Ohio. A 28-year resident, he was a retired bakery salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria; five sons, Thomas Dyer of Kingman, Ariz., Robert Dyer of San Marcos, Calif., Thomas Moore of Lake Isabella, Calif., and John Moore and Robert Moore, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Mildred Turnboo of Marysville, Calif., Barbara Falls of Toledo, Ohio, and Mary Box of Liberty Center, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Jones.

JOHN F. ELMGREN

John F. Elmgren, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 17, 1911, in Trinidad, Colo. A 45-year resident, he was a retired federal government project manager and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Belen, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Florine; two daughters, Tancy Leonard of Las Vegas and Debi McDowell of Reno; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be private.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

EUGENE M. FRANK

Eugene M. Frank, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Michigan. An eight-year resident, he was a plumbing salesman, a Navy veteran and a member of the Las Vegas City of Hope.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Mark Berenbach of California; three daughters, Robin Miller of New York, Bonnie Seibert of Pennsylvania and Sandy Steichen of Connecticut; one sister, Anne Leener of California; and nine grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, is handling arrangements.

BEVERLY J. GILMORE

Beverly J. Gilmore, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Des Moines, Iowa. A four-year resident, she was an insurance underwriter.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E.; and two sisters, Shirley Kyser of Libertyville, Ill., and Lynda Garda of Las Vegas.

Services and burial are private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

EMMA L. ICE

Emma L. Ice, 92, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born June 13, 1905, in Buck Creek, Iowa. A 25-year resident, she was a retired hospital registered nurse and a member of PEO Chapter in Boulder City.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn M. Buckley of Okoboji, Iowa; one brother, Dr. William LaDage of Denver; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

AMARYLLIS 'VICKY' KELLNER

Amaryllis "Vicky" Kellner, died Saturday in Newport Beach, Calif. A former 37-year Las Vegas resident until 1989, she was born in Pocatello, Idaho.

She is survived by one son, John M. Kellner; two daughters, Christine Jones and Ronda Perlutter; two sisters; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by graveside services in Woodlawn Cemetery.

HARRY L. MCILHATTAN

Harry L. McIlhattan, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Montana. A 35-year resident, he was a 31-year owner of The Book Rack and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Mildred Haris.

JOHN HOLLEY MELVIN

John Holley Melvin, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Milton, Fla. A 10-year resident, he was an electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a member of Masonic Lodge 349 in Pace, Fla., and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; two sons, Eddie Melvin of San Rafael, Calif., and Bob of Lancaster, Calif.; two daughters, Dana Gannon of Lancaster, Calif., and Brucie of San Rafael; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

PAUL D. MORSE

Paul D. Morse, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1931, in Alba, Texas. A 20-year resident, he was a retired operating engineer, an Air Force veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10047, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Vesta; three daughters, Vicki Pinjanthuk of Canyon Country, Calif., Jenni White of Palmdale, Calif., and Bonnie Horton of Clearlake, Calif.; one son, John Morse of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 8:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

SALLIE W. OTTING

Sallie W. Otting, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born July 15, 1928, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A one-year resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Merlin; three daughters, Kathryn Capone of Las Vegas, Carol Danger of South Beloit, Ill., and Margaret Wight of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Harold C. Wilmarth Jr. of Grand Rapids; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is arranging private services.

MARY OWENS

Mary Owens, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1938, in St. Joseph, La. A 40-year resident, she was retired from the Clark County School District.

She is survived by her husband, Samual; four sons, Alexander Washington Jr., Micheal Washington and Gregory Washington, all of Las Vegas, and Anthony Washington of Los Angeles; one daughter, Janice Washington of Las Vegas; her mother, Lizzie Shorts of San Diego; one brother, Nathaniel Shorts of Las Vegas; five sisters, Rosie Lee Johnson of Chicago, Mamie Kennedy and Mateal Porchay, both of San Diego, and Mary Ella Cobb and Lou Ella Wingate, both of Louisiana; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Light Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

RUTH D. REITH

Ruth D. Reith, 91, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 21, 1906, in Tarentum, Pa. A 12-year resident, she was a retired butcher.

She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Stewart of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

PAUL MICHAEL RICHARDS

Paul Michael Richards, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1926, in New Rochelle, N.Y. An eight-year resident, he was a retired chauffeur.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; his mother, Katherine Richards of Kingwood, Texas; three daughters, Dorothy Geronimi of Los Angeles, Catherine Cody of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Richards Treptow of Spokane, Wash.; three sisters; and four grandchildren.

Services were 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

FRANK N. ROUBIEU

Frank N. Roubieu, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1915, in Louisiana. A 22-year resident, he was a retired budget controller for an aerospace company and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Doris Brandon and Peggy Burns, both of California.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

LEONA MARIE RYDELL

Leona Marie Rydell, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in California. An 18-year resident, she was a nurse.

She is survived by one son, Peter; one daughter, Cynthia; two brothers, John Beckel of Illinois, and James Riley of Texas; and two sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Arkansas and Ida Brezina of California.

Paul D. Saunders Jr., 32, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 17, 1965, in Hermiston, Ore. A 27-year resident, he was a hotel security guard.

He is survived by one son, Shamar DeVon Saunders, and his mother, Willie J. Harper, both of Las Vegas; his father, Paul D. Sanders Sr. of Hermiston; one brother, Clifford D. Saunders of Indianapolis; seven sisters, Evelyn J. Harper-McNeal, Arangio A. Harper, Debra J. Harper, Pamela M. Saunders and Angel L. Harper, all of Las Vegas, Betty Carey of Oakland, Calif., and Paula R. Saunders of Hermiston.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
