Intensive Journal Workshop in Henderson
Friday, Jan. 9, 1998 | 10:53 a.m.
Maureen McCormack, workshop facilitator, is a psychologist and has been teaching the workshop since 1975.
Students receive a structured journal and learn methods that help them get more out of their writing. The process teaches a practical method of writing that provides a cohesive series of exercises and innovative approaches to enhance personal growth.
Created by Dr. Ira Progoff, the workshop was originally published as a book "At a Journal Workshop" in the 1970s. Progoff is a pioneer in journal writing and an expert on the work of Carl Jung. As a practicing depth psychologist in New York City, Progoff developed the Intensive Journal method in the mid-1960s and founded Dialogue House to make the program available.
