CARSON CITY -- The number of companies filing to do business in Nevada rose by 25.3 for the period of June through November last year, Secretary of State Dean Heller said Friday.
There were 15,893 companies that incorporated during this period. And Nevada ranks tenth in the nation for the number of corporate filings.
Heller said, "This large increase clearly reflects the success of our innovations which have been embraced by the business world as well as the public.
The report on the number of incorporations for all of 1997 should be out later this month, Heller said.
