Dozens of people face eviction from dilapidated complex
Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998 | 11:04 a.m.
City officials say the complex is unfit to live in. About 60 of the 112 units are occupied.
The area is known for its drug problems, robberies and loitering.
Residents say some improvements have been made at the complex since new owners took over about two months ago.
Still, city officials say there are too many problems to keep the property open, including exposed electrical wiring and lack of a proper fence around an empty swimming pool.
