The bad news is, the show's producers say it will be taped in New York City.
If that's the case, Lane said he will commute to the Big Apple, but doesn't plan to live there. He'll keep his Reno home.
"I was a country boy yesterday, and I'll be a country boy tomorrow," he said.
But Lane did have one demand of Rysher Entertainment, the producer of the show, "Judge Mills Lane - Justice You Can Trust."
If he has to travel to New York, he said he wanted first-class plane tickets.
Rysher agreed, he said.
Lane was thrust into the international spotlight last year when he disqualified Mike Tyson for biting off the ear of Evander Holyfield.
His syndicated, half-hour show is scheduled to begin airing in September, provided enough television stations around the country agree to air it.
