Three casinos to pay less taxes

State law allows businesses to argue for property assessment reductions based on their business income.
The Sands Regency was reassessed at $28.6 million, a reduction of $12 million.
The Riverboat Casino's taxable value was reduced from $9.1 million to $8.9 million for the tax year beginning July 1. That reduction follows a nearly 50 percent property value reduction last year.
The Pioneer Inn was appraised at $8 million, a $400,000 decrease.
