Grand Rapid Griffins 2, Michigan K-Wings 1
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--The Grand Rapids Griffins (29-24-6) rallied for two third-period goals to take a 2-1 win over the Michigan K-Wings Tuesday night. The Griffins snapped a three-game losing streak in front of a sellout crowd of 10,834 at Van Andel Arena. Greg Bullock won the game with his fifth goal of the season, at 13:26 of the final period. Glen Metropolit scored on a power play at 8:59 to tie the score at 1-1. Chris Tancill netted his fifth goal in two games for the K-Wings, who fall to 26-27-7. Winning goalie Ian Gordon faced 22 shots and made 21 saves. Michigan's Jordan Willis stopped 30 of 32.
Indianapolis Ice 2, Orlando Solar Bears 0
INDIANAPOLIS--Todd White and Ryan Huska scored in the second period as the Indianapolis Ice (29-29-3) shut out the Orlando Solar Bears 2-0 Tuesday in front of 2,975 at Market Square Arena. White's winning goal came at the 4:30 mark, snapping a three-game Indianapolis losing streak. The Solar Bears (30-21-8) had won five straight coming into Tuesday's contest. Goalie Marc Lamothe made 31 saves on the way to his third shutout of the season. Orlando's David Littman turned away 40 of 42 Indianapolis shots.
Manitoba Moose 6, Las Vegas Thunder 3
LAS VEGAS--Scott Thomas scored three goals in the third period to lead the Manitoba Moose (26-30-5) past the Las Vegas Thunder 6-3 Tuesday at the Thomas & Mack Center. The teams were tied 2-2 at the start of the final period. The Moose pulled away with Thomas's hat trick and a capper by Greg Pankewicz. Bill Bowler had four assists for the Moose. Joe Day paced the Thunder attack with two goals, and IHL scoring leader Patrice Lefebvre picked up three assists, giving him a league-leading 67 for the season. Las Vegas have lost nine of their last ten, and are fourth in the Southwest Division at 26-28-6.
