Gallagher to seek fourth Regents term

Dorothy Gallagher of Elko announced Thursday she would seek a fourth six-year term on the Board of Regents of the University and Community College of Nevada.

Gallagher said the board's focus must remain on "meeting the demands of an expanding and diverse student population while maintaining a balance between undergraduate, graduate and professional programs."

Her district covers Churchill, Elko, Esmeralda, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Mineral, Pershing and White Pine counties and portions of Lyon, Nye and Washoe counties. She was first elected in 1980.
