Symphony holds open auditions

Student performers should be high school to 21 years of age. The auditions wwill be at Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North. To qualify, the music must be a major repertoire piece that is currently available to purchase or rent; the orchestration must be for strings or woodwinds; soloists must provide their own accompanist for the audition; music must be memorized; and the piece should be one movement only, not to exceed 10 minutes.
The civic symphony is a program of the Cultural and Community Affairs Division of the Las Vegas Department of Parks and Leisure Activities. For more information, call 229-6211.
