Lady Rebels fall to Utah

Senior forward Angie Thill led all scorers with 22 points and three other Utes scored in double figures as No. 17 Utah defeated the UNLV Lady Rebels 74-58 in a Western Athletic Conference women's basketball game Thursday night at Lied Gymnasium.
Utah opened the second half with a 9-1 run over 2:10 to take a 44-28 lead. UNLV cut the deficit to 56-44 with 10:24 left but could get no closer.
Utah (20-3, 10-3) got a boost from senior guard Julie Krommenhoek, who scored 18 points. Sophomore center Kristi Rose and freshman forward Lindsay Sodja each had 11 points.
UNLV (4-21, 3-10) was led by senior guard Taneisha Gossett's 12 points. Junior center Liz Wolfe added 10 points for the Lady Rebels.
The Lady Rebels will host Brigham Young at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
