Lady Rebels looking for strong WAC finish

The UNLV women's basketball team concludes its Western Athletic Conference regular season with a pair of home games tonight at 7:05 against No. 17 Utah and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against BYU. Both games will be played at Lied Gymnasium.
The Lady Rebels (4-20 overall and 3-9 in the WAC) are in seventh place in the the WAC's Mountain Division, one game behind BYU. Only the top six teams from each division advance to the WAC Tournament, which will be held March 2-7 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
UNLV, which is 1-3 under interim head coach Steve Corraro, will be looking to avenge a pair of losses to the Beehive State teams; the Lady Rebels lost to Utah, 75-49, on Jan. 24 and dropped a 66-54 decision to BYU on Jan. 22. Utah comes into tonight's contest with a 9-3 conference record and is 18-3 overall. BYU is 4-8 in the WAC and 10-13 overall.
The Lady Rebels are led by senior guard Taneisha Gossett, who is averaging 12 points a game, and junior forward Angalete Dye, who is averaging 9.5 points and 8.3 rebounds a game.
