County spending

How the Clark County Commission voted Tuesday to spend tax dollars:

* $3.29 million to Granite Construction Co. for 1.25 miles of paving improvements to Vegas Valley Drive between Nellis Boulevard and Treeline Drive.

* $2.97 million to buy 9.8 acres of private land that runs through Green Valley Ranch between Green Valley parkway and Arroyo Grande Boulevard for right-of-way for the Las Vegas Beltway.

* $2.45 million for road improvements on Cheyenne Avenue between Lamb and Nellis boulevards.

* $2 million for road improvements on Decatur Boulevard from Las Vegas Beltway to Russell Road.

* $942,329 to Montgomery Engineering for design services associated with relocating an underground reservoir owned by the Las Vegas Valley Water District to make room for construction of the second half of the satellite "D" terminal at McCarran International Airport.

* $542,579 to CBR Contractor to build a 3,000-square-foot justice facility in Bunkerville, including utility extensions, parking areas and landscaping.

* $494,000 to City Plan Development Inc. for construction of a new 3,000-square-foot justice facility in Searchlight, including parking area, utility extensions and landscaping.

* $218,348 to U.S. Filter Distribution Group for miscellaneous pipe for various county public works projects.
