StumblePolice investigate newborn’s death

The woman, whose name was not released, was admitted Monday night to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, where she told nurses and doctors she had just given birth to a baby at home and placed the child in a plastic bag, KTNV-TV Channel 13 reported Tuesday.
The baby was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending, and police are investigating the case.
According to a hospital nurse, the teen's parents did not know she was pregnant.
