Ludwick named WAC baseball player of the week

Ludwick, a Durango grad, started all five Rebels games last week and went 8 for 17 at the plate with nine RBIs, six runs, four doubles and two home runs. He was walked six times and struck out only twice.
In UNLV's 17-1 win over Southern Utah on Wednesday, Ludwick went 1 for 4, making his one hit count as he cleared the bases with a grand slam. In the final game of a three-game series against Utah, a 20-6 Rebels victory, Ludwick went 3 for 4 with three runs, three doubles, two walks and one RBI.
For the season, Ludwick is hitting .375 with 10 RBIs, five doubles and two home runs.
