Letter: Give Clinton the credit he deserves for his presidency’s successes

On TV, in the editorial pages and on talk radio, we have been told of the impending doom. On talk radio, the hatred toward the president is neverending. The chubby guy counts the days that "America is held hostage." The conservative writers talk about the decaying of the country. They long for some kind of "family values" that they approve of. Ross Perot told us how our sons, daughters and grandchildren would be burdened with unpayable federal debt.

Clinton has proven himself a great president in all areas that affect our country and the world.

The haters of him have been reduced to hoping and praying that "J. Edgar" Starr can involve Clinton in a sex caper or even lying. Imagine. A politician lying, now that's news.

How about a little praise from these people for a job well done. Don't hold your breath.
