Ivan Eugene Bartlow, 71, of Las Vegas died Jan. 25 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 20, 1926, in California. A resident for nine years, he was a maintenance worker and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Bob Whealon of Las Vegas, Frank Whealon of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Tim of Camarillo, Calif.; one daughter, Cathy of California; one sister, Joy Whittington of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

LLOYD R. BELL

Lloyd R. Bell, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 11, 1925, in St. Louis. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired Marine Corps staff sergeant and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; four sons, Donald Edwards Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Yung Edwards, Lloyd Bell II and Raymond Bell, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Frieda Chilton and Ada Patrick, both of Houma, La.; and one grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

NANCY AILEEN COOPER

Nancy Aileen Cooper, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born March 4, 1936, in St. Louis. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired comptroller.

She is survived by two brothers, Neil Cooper of Las Vegas and Joseph Cooper of Philadelphia.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

DONNA LEE DUNN

Donna Lee Dunn, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Wayne County, Mich. A resident for nine years, she was a retired electronics technician for an aerospace company.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest; four daughters, Elaine Perry, Ellen Dunn and Kathleen Ward, all of Las Vegas, and Pamela Tognetti of Newhall, Calif.; one son, Michael Dunn of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Fiori of St. Paul, Minn.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be private.

PLINY F. EVANS

Pliny F. Evans, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 11, 1916, in Atlanta. A resident for 12 years, he was a photographer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Sherron Figallo of Slidell, La.; one son, Larry A. Evans of Sherwood, Ark.; four sisters, Ruth Cofer of Beebe, Ark., Audrey Watson of Ringgold, Ga., Thelma Pettus of Searcy, Ark., and Grace Hall of Harker Heights, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

CLYDE EARL FLORENCE

Clyde Earl Florence, 77, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Salt Lake City. A resident for three years, he was a credit manager for a trailer manufacturer and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; two sons, Scott Florence of Kaysville, Utah, and Craig Florence of Las Vegas; two daughters, Susan Mesarch of Palm Desert, Calif., and Tamara Roberts of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Lloyd Eldridge of Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be in Utah.

GERALD GILBERTSON

Gerald Gilbertson, 76, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Baudette, Minn. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired bricklayer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the local Bricklayers Union and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by two daughters, Jerine Gilbertson of San Diego and Bonita Gilbertson of Las Vegas; one son, Larry Gilbertson of Elko; three brothers, Bruce Gilbertson of Honolulu, Carroll Gilbertson of Houston and Larry Gilbertson of Lake Clear, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., and 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

LOUIS GONZALES

Louis Gonzales, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Sparks. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired purchasing agent for the city of North Las Vegas and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one son, Michael Donaldson of Reno; one daughter, Michelle Balch of Las Vegas; one brother, John Gonzales of Sparks; two sisters, Celia Roblin and Sara Slotto, both of Reno; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

ROLAND GRAVES

Roland Graves, 78, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Idabel, Okla. A resident for 52 years, he was a public transportation service technician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Jodie Graves of Lawton, Okla., and Dennis Graves of Carson City; one daughter, Rosetta Seay of Las Vegas; one brother, Luther Graves of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday in Eden Vale Mortuary. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunker Chapel. Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

EARL EDWARD HALL

Earl Edward Hall, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1920, in Kearny, N.J. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired project coordinator for the Department of Aviation. He began working at McCarran Airport in 1946. He was with Bonanza Airlines in 1949 throughout its merger with Air West. He worked for Scenic Airlines and from 1979 on with Clark County Aviation.

He is survived his wife, Irene M.; one daughter, Alene Victoria Balse of Mendocino, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

THOMAS ALBERT HARRISON

Thomas Albert Harrison, 80, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Macon, Mo. A resident for 45 years, he was an electrician, a Navy veteran, a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 14, Masonic Blue Lodge 48 in Indian Springs, the York Rite and Zelzah Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; three sons, Robert Harrison and Albert Harrison, both of Las Vegas, and Ronald Harrison of Nevada; one daughter, Gloria Donaho of Nevada; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A Masonic service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bunker Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

BETTY HENSHAW

Betty Henshaw, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local convalescent center. She was born Sept. 2, 1910, in New Baltimore, Md. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a retailer.

She is survived by one sister, Sylvia Haman of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2:30 p.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

ARTURO 'CHAPARRITO' JIMENEZ

Arturo "Chaparrito" Jimenez, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Aguascalientes, Mexico. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired cook.

He is survived by his wife, Epifania; two daughters, Laura Ayala of Las Vegas and Lourdes Moses of Henderson; three sons, Art Jimenez and Ricardo Jimenez, both of Las Vegas, and Victor Jimenez of New York City; one brother, Raul Jimenez, and one sister, Felicidad Agiss, both of Mexico; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Helen King, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Cleveland. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Elliott; one daughter, Elissa King of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph King of Henderson and Gregory King of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Thomas of Parma Heights, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated noon Wednesday in St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

YOLANDA LANNEN

Yolanda Lannen, 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 4, 1940, in Barton, Ohio. A resident for two years, she was a bookkeeper and secretary for a real estate firm.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; two daughters, Monica Baro of Ojai, Calif., and Peggy Labine of Las Vegas; her stepfather, Harry Coil of Redding, Calif.; and one grandchild.

ROBERT FRANCIS MARVO

Robert Francis Marvo, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 3, 1932, in New York. A resident for four years, he was a waiter.

He is survived by his wife, Mary.

Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

MARIE E. MUSE

Marie E. Muse, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1906, in Canada. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired laborer for an electronics firm.

She is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Sullivan of Las Vegas and Joanne Gaw of Los Angeles; one son, Richard J. Muse of Granada Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

JACK NEUBERT ODEN

Jack Neubert Oden, 76, of Las Vegas died Jan. 25 in St. George, Utah. He was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 48 years, he was a 25-year guard at the Nevada Test Site and a World War II Merchant Marine.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; two daughters, Cathy Oden and Lynn Oden, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, Robert Oden of Seal Beach, Calif.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Upland Church, 920 Upland Blvd. A private burial will follow. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

MARY LOU PICKARD

Mary Lou Pickard, 86, of Longmont, Colo., died Thursday in Longmont. She was born Nov. 8, 1911, in Boulder, Colo. A former Las Vegas resident until 1977, she worked for the Clark County Courthouse as supervisor of the microfilm department until her retirement in 1982.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty; one niece, Donna K. Roberts of Longmont; two great-nieces, Tammy K. Roberts of Longmont and Terri L. Roberts of Mead, Colo.; two great-great-nieces, Krystal R. Koontz of Longmont and Tori L. Martinez of Mead, Colo.; and one great-great-nephew, Jay Koontz of Longmont.

JOSEPH A. ROTELLO

Joseph A. Rotello, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1921, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired apartment manager and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; two sons, Michael Rotello of Henderson and Patrick Rotello of Las Vegas.

Services will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

MARTIN R. SCHEWANICK

Martin R. Schewanick, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 4, 1907, in Pennsylvania. A resident for five years, he was a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1935 and retired as a superintendent from U.S. Steel.

He is survived by one son, John T. Schewanick of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

John Charles Sondgeroth, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 16, 1919, in Carroll, Iowa. A resident for 45 years, he was an avionics supervisor for Northwest Airlines, a veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1753, the Elks, Knights of Columbus Council 2828 and American Legion Post 8.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene M.; one daughter, Lillian J. Muije of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to a 10 a.m. Mass Wednesday in St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

NORINE SCHOPPMANN STANWORTH

Norine Schoppmann Stanworth, 79, died Sunday in a Caliente medical center. She was born July 11, 1918, in Cedar City, Utah. A former Las Vegas resident for 50 years until 1995, she enjoyed dancing and her friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Sunderland of Logan, Utah, and Tonya Perkins of Caliente; two brothers, Duard Schoppman and Ira Schoppmann, all of Cedar City; numerous nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Thursday in the Caliente LDS Church. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Cedar City Cemetery. Wiscombe Funeral Home, Caliente, is handling arrangements.

DR. THEODORE R. STEPMAN

Dr. Theodore R. Stepman, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 25, 1915, in St. Louis. A resident for eight years, he was a retired physician, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the American Medical Association, Rotary Club, Lions Club and Boys Club, all of San Leandro, Calif., Alameda Contra Costa County Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, Society of Internal Medicine and East Bay Society of Internal Medicine.

He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Stepman Vanzlow of Las Vegas; one son, Lyle Stepman of Oakland, Calif.; one stepson, David Klegman of San Leandro; two stepdaughters, Debbie Klegman of Los Angeles and Ellen Douglas of Sabastopol, Calif.; two brothers, Benjamin Stepman and Al Stepman, both of Henderson; and one grandchild.

Paul Wesley Van Guilder, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Cannon Falls, Minn. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired painter in the construction industry, a World War II veteran of the National Guard, a member of the Square Callers Association of Las Vegas and Senior Net in Las Vegas, past president of the Renton, Wash., Lions Club and the Clarkston Realtors Association, longtime scoutmaster in Renton and co-president of the Renton PTA.

He is survived by his wife, Arleta; two daughters, Deeann Stiles of Henderson and Dona Kachele of Renton; three sons, Richard Van Guilder of Kent, Wash., and Bean Van Guilder and Roy Van Guilder, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ann Howard of Spokane, Wash., and Margie Wright of Clarkston, Wash.; one brother, Al Van Guilder of Spokane; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Jaycee Senior Park Community Center.

Marie Rose Withrow, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Montreal. A resident for 14 years, she was a framer for an eyeglass manufacturer.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Glass of Wappapello, Mo., and Edith of New Hampshire; two sons, Leslie Chaplain of Sunland, Calif., and Herbert Chaplain of New Hampshire; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were private. Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
