Laura Elizabeth Archer, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 20, 1912, in California. A resident for 13 years, she was a concessionaire at Dodger Stadium.

She is survived by one son, Jeff Duncan, and one sister, Mary Jane Horne, both of Las Vegas.

Dannie Cork

Dannie Cork, 59, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 18, 1939, in Salem, W.Va. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Donna Rae Cork of Las Vegas and Becky Jo Cork of Henderson; one son, Robert Dean Cork, and his mother, Oma Snyder, both of Henderson; four brothers, Brooks Stanley Cork of Las Vegas, Edward Cork, Louis Cork and Howard Utt, all of Henderson; and four sisters, Laura Moore and Karen Sue, both of Henderson, Dorotha Bristol of Pahrump and Mary DiPaolo of West Virginia.

John Thomas Cox Jr.

John Thomas Cox Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Dec. 22 in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1924, in California. A resident for 18 years, he was a special agent for the federal government, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Reiko; two sons, John Thomas Cox III and Christopher Paul Cox, both of Orange County, Calif.; two brothers, Jim Cox of San Francisco and Bob Cox of Oregon; and seven grandchildren.

A service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in the Masonic Memorial Temple, 2200 Mesquite Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Eloise Culverson

Eloise Culverson, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Darnell, La. A resident for more than 40 years, she was a retired hotel inspectress and a member of the Mother Board of the New Light Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; four daughters, Bethenia Toston, Bernadine Toston, Barbara Toston and Melvyn Culverson, one son, Robert Earl Culverson, five sisters, Melverta Jackson, Ida Mae Jackson, Mellie Smith, Bessie Mae Paige and Blandine Jackson, and four brothers, Morris Jackson, Henry Jackson, Charles Jackson and Raymond Jackson, all of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

W.B. 'Jim' Gericke

W.B. 'Jim' Gericke, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 31, 1912, in Miller, Mo. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired real estate broker and owner of Gericke Realty.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys A.; one son, C. Lloyd Gericke of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Robert N. Gibson

Robert N. Gibson, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born June 25, 1921, in Maryland. A resident for nine years, he was a stockroom clerk and a member of Odd Fellows.

He is survived by two brothers, Donald Gibson of Pahrump and Harry Gibson of Thurmont, Md.; and one sister, Marybelle Wiley of Burbank, Calif.

Evelyn Ray Gilliam

Evelyn Ray Gilliam, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Joplin, Mo. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired businesswoman for a wholesale brokerage firm.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl McBay of Sacramento and Letha Gilliam of Newhall, Calif.; one son, Ralph Gilliam Jr. of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mary N. Giusto, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 8, 1913, in New York. A resident for 19 years, she was a seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter, Marie of Georgia; two sons, Joe of Connecticut and Harry of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

H. Williams 'Bill' Hanmer, 94, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 13, 1904, in Glenview, Ill. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired attorney and was a supporter of the Salvation Army.

He is survived by one son, Richard A. Hanmer of Lake Jackson, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 5:30 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Chester T. 'Chet' Huber

Chester T. 'Chet' Huber, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 12, 1921, in South Milwaukee, Wis. A resident for 55 years, he was a retired master mechanic at the Nevada Test Site, a World War II Army veteran, a member of American Legion and the 44th Tank Battalion Association and a retired member of Operating Engineers Local 12.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Huber of Las Vegas; four sons, John Huber, Michael Huber and Mark Huber, all of Las Vegas, and James Huber of Independence, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Roberta Hunter, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; three daughters, Jeanne Marie LaDuca of Henderson and Susan Ann Hunley and Mary Elizabeth Hunter, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Mary Comito, and two sisters, Roselee Blackwell and Marianna Comito, all of Kingman, Ariz.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joseph S. LaMont

Joseph S. LaMont, 84, of Boulder City died Sunday in Boulder City. He was born April 21, 1914, in Oakmont, W.Va. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired restaurateur, a World War II Army veteran, instrumental in the formation of the Perry Home Owners Association and the Perry Little League and best known from LaMont's Pizzeria, all in Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie S.; one daughter, Jackie LaMont of Cleveland; three stepsons, Kenneth Debelak of Nashville, Tenn., Douglas Debelak of Henderson and Michael Debelak of Price, Utah; one sister, Donna of Cleveland; one brother, Michael LaMont of Lyndhurst, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

Lois Francis McKeon, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Alhambra, Calif. A resident for eight years, she was an elementary school teacher for 21 years and active in the Presbyterian Women's Organization.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; one son, Ken McKeon; one daughter, Susan Ford; and three grandchildren.

Harriet Jane Meadows

Harriet Jane Meadows, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Ohio. A resident for 12 years, she was a transcriber/typist for Los Angeles County Social Services.

She is survived by her husband, William; one son, Douglas Meadows of Jacksonville, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren.

Blanche Ida Montie

Blanche Ida Montie, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, she was a housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Gill Montie of Hollywood, Calif., and Thomas Hoff of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Kathleen Tyson of Las Vegas; one sister, Gertrude Russel of Dearborn, Mich.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Virginia Moore

Bonnie Virginia Moore, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Texarkana, Texas. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired medical office manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Krietzburg of Las Vegas; one son, Ernest H. Moore III of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Glenn W. Moses, 71, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1927, in New York. A resident for many years, he was an inspector in the automotive industry.

He is survived by his wife, Onnolee.

Howard James Munn

Howard James Munn, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1925, in Lynden Township, Minn. A resident for four years, he was a retired aerospace engineer with Rockwell International, a World War II Army veteran who received two Purple Hearts and cluster, a member of Elks Lodge 1625 and Moose Lodge 1926.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia C.; one daughter, RoseMarie Pray of Riverside, Calif.; four sons, Phillip Trad of Yorba Linda, Calif., John Lake of Buena Park, Calif., Bruce Lake of Lancaster, Calif., and Michael Lake of San Jose, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Carmine Joseph Napolitano, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1915, in New York. A resident for 17 years, he was an accountant, an Army veteran, a member of the American Contract Bridge League and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by four brothers, Benjamin, Anthony, Frank and Salvatore; and one sister, Louise Butler.

Ronald Raymond Rideout

Ronald Raymond Rideout, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 16, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for 21 years, he was a retail shop owner and salesman, a talent agent and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lila; one son, Rob Rideout of Aptos, Calif.; one daughter, Sally O'Brien of Jacksonville, Ore.; one stepdaughter, Adrienne Crohn; two brothers, Eugene Rideout of California and Lester Rideout of Ohio; two sisters, Adelaide Johnson of Menlo Park, Calif., and Sara Condi of Pacifica, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Francis Irving Strabala

Francis Irving Strabala, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent center. He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Arkansas. A resident for 29 years, he was an electrical engineer for the Atomic Energy Commission, a manager at the Nevada Test Site and a Navy officer.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; two sons, Gary Strabala of Las Vegas and Paul Strabala of Los Angeles; one daughter, Gail Voorhes of Ramona, Calif.; two brothers, Melvin Strabala of Tulsa, Okla., and Howard Strabala of Minneapolis; and four grandchildren.

Georgia B. Van Note, 71, of Las Vegas died Dec. 23 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Cline, S.C. A resident for 35 years, she was a physician's assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two sons, Richard and Paul; one daughter, Roberta; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joseph J. Vasapolli Sr.

Joseph J. Vasapolli Sr., 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 28, 1906, in Pietraperzia, Italy. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired city government street and highway employee.

He is survived by two sons, Andrew P. Vasapolli of Las Vegas and Joseph Vasapolli of Downey, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 5:30 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Mary V. Vollberg, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born April 5, 1921, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Meda Braker of Las Vegas; one son, Glenn Vollberg of Biloxi, Miss.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth A. Vuckovic, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Farrell, Pa. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired schoolteacher and a volunteer for the Shrine of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two sons, Frank S. Vuckovic of Las Vegas and Mark Vuckovic of Germany; two sisters, Vera Beader of Dover, Del., and Norma Husnick of Brookfield, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Duke and Penny Evans, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Pamela Hasslehoff of Los Angeles; his mother, Ellen Weissenbach of Riverside, Calif.; three brothers, Mark Weissenbach of Matthew, N.C., Rex Weissenbach of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Kurt Weissenbach of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Jack Mahlon White, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1915, in Strong City, Kan. A resident for 18 years, he was a operating engineer, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of American Legion and the Moose Lodge, both in Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Patricia Canfield of Las Vegas; one son, Robert White of Michigan City, Ind.; one brother, Earl White of Wichita, Kan.; four sisters, Lena DeWolfe and Myrtle Aurwater, both of Emporia, Kan., and Marguerite Combs and Dorothy Martin, both of Stockton, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
