Some 350,000 expected to welcome 1999 on the Las Vegas Strip
"We see this year as just a practice session for the crowd we expect to welcome in the year 2000," Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Scott Flabi said Thursday. "Next year's bash will likely double the figure, to 600,000 or 700,000."
