Lady Rebels fall to So. Utah

Sophomore Sarah Pratt led all scorers with 17 points as Southern Utah defeated the UNLV women's basketball team 80-57 on Monday in a nonconference game in Cedar City, Utah.
With a 45-42 lead with 12 minutes remaining in the game, Southern Utah went on a 15-4 run over 4:08 to take a 14-point lead. The Thunderbirds increased their advantage to 21 points with 2:45 left on their way to the win.
After eight lead changes and one tie to start off the game, Southern Utah (6-4) went on a 11-0 run over 3:36 to take a 22-13 lead with 8:13 to play in the first half.
UNLV cut SUU's lead to 23-21 with 5:47 left and tied the score at 31 apiece with 1:44 remaining in the half. The Thunderbirds scored the half's final six points to take a 37-31 lead into the break.
Senior Angalete Dye scored the first eight points of the game for UNLV (5-3) en route to a team-high total of 14. She also led the team in rebounds with 10 for her third double-double of the season.
UNLV was called for 29 fouls for the game, compared to Southern Utah's 13.
