Thurman Eugene Brummett, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 17, 1911, in Texas. A resident for six months, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Marie Demtom of Arizona; three sons, Richard Brummett of Yuba City, Calif., Gary Brummett of Oregon and Gene Brummett of Arizona; and one sister, Mildred Petersen of Bellflower, Calif.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

Leonard Buettner

Leonard Buettner, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Baltimore. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired researcher from the University of California, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Shriners, York Rite Lodge and was a ham radio operator.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and one brother, Henry C. Buettner of Baltimore.

Services are pending. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Jeri L. Burgess

Jeri L. Burgess, 34, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1964, in Detroit. A resident for six years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; one daughter, Heather, one son, Dalton, and her mother, Sally Gustus, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jill Gustus of San Marcos, Calif.; and one brother, Stanley Gajos of Phoenix.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

John F. Conticelli

John F. Conticelli, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Farrell, Pa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired superintendent of trades for a steel mill, a World War II Merchant Marines veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and Sun City Italian Club.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle; two daughters, Jonna Triggs of Las Vegas and Lisa Ander of San Marino, Calif.; two sisters, Lucy Conticelli of West MIddlesex, Pa., and Millie Pruent of Cadiz, Ohio; two brothers, Joseph Conticelli of Hermitage, Pa., and Elio Conticelli of West Middlesex; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Delores Flaten

Delores Flaten, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 19, 1926, in Lankin, N.D. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired telephone operator for the federal government.

She is survived by three daughters, Jan Zon of Mount Vernon, Wash., Barbara Johnson of Meridian, Idaho, and Pam Leishman of Brigham City, Utah; two sons, Brad Flaten of New Orleans and Ken Flaten of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Leo Frazier

Leo Frazier, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Providence, R.I. A resident for seven years, he was a retired aircraft machinist, A World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 8 in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; three daughters, Judith Gilmore of Wildomar, Calif., Carol Evans of Las Vegas and Linda Frazier of Hemet, Calif.; three sons, Francis Frazier of Cumberland, R.I., George Frazier of Boise, Idaho, and Robert Frazier of Hemet; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Stanley Washington Gibson

Stanley Washington Gibson, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 17, 1948, in South Carolina. A resident for three years, he was a retired Army sergeant 1st class.

He is survived by his wife, Alfreda; one son, Peter Gibson of Las Vegas; his mother, Marie Gibson of Charleston, S.C.; and his mother-in-law, Roxie A. Lane of St. Louis.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Charleston.

Daryl Morgan Hanson

Daryl Morgan Hanson, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Blooming Prairie, Minn. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired retail salesman, a World War II disabled Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by one daughter, Corrine French of Arizona; two sisters, Marie Ellis and C. Joan Stanton, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, Borg Hanson of Bloomington, Minn.; and his caregiver, Marian Lovelace of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Dec. 28 in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Dec. 29 in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Jan. 5 in Palm Memorial Park.

Walter James Hodges III

Walter James Hodges III, 22, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 13, 1976, in Las Vegas. He was a construction worker.

He is survived by one son, Treyvion Harris of Las Vegas; his parents, Sandra and Walter James Hodges Jr. of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Antoine Hodges, Nickolaus Hodges and Antwann Warren, two sisters, Lakesha Hodges-Warren and Irene Hodges, and his grandparents, Dorothy and Sam Lee, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane.

Paula M. Madsen

Paula M. Madsen, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Baltimore. A resident for four years, she was a retired cosmetologist.

She is survived by one son, Jeff Madsen of Salt Lake City; one daughter, Teresa Wiley of Las Vegas; three sisters, Darlene Fitterer, Janet Gagliano and Camille Fitterer, all of Portland, Ore.

A memorial service will be noon Wednesday in Liberty Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Rae Reinhardt McCormick

Rae Reinhardt McCormick, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 15, 1930, in Carrolltown, Pa. A resident for 33 years, she was a dealer, past president of the St. Rose De Lima Auxiliary, active with the Judy Bayley organization and Bishop Gorman High School.

She is survived by her husband, Paul O. McCormick of Mobile, Ala.; three sons, Michael Rinehart of Gig Harbor, Wash., Quinn Rinehart of Las Vegas and Mark Reinhardt of San Diego; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 5:30 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Service will be 6:30 p.m. today at Bishop Gorman High School chapel, 1801 S. Maryland Parkway. Another service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bishop Gorman's chapel. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Raphael Lopez Perez

Raphael Lopez Perez, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for four years, he was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Florencia; six children, Ramon Perez, Jesus Perez, Estela Monarrez, Hester Monarrez, Rafael Perez and Rosa Elia Ortega, all of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be in Mexico.

John Schneider

John Schneider, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 25, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, he was retired from the real estate business.

Jeanne Kathleen Tague

Jeanne Kathleen Tague, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 17, 1934, in Los Angeles. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph R.; one daughter, Teresa Speir of Las Vegas; three sons, Lawrence Tague of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Donald Tague of Anaheim, Calif., and Joseph H. Tague of Las Vegas; three sisters, Joanne Amaral of Santa Margarita, Calif., Joette Walden of El Toro, Calif., and Janice Munday of Lake Elsinore, Calif.,; two brothers, James Joiner of Flagstaff, Ariz., and John Joiner of Long Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 12:45-1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
