Arthur Arjanian, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1917, in New York. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired photo engraver and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Carlzen of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Wanda E. Asbury
Wanda E. Asbury, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Walbridge, Ohio. A resident for 19 years, she was a caregiver and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Jersey and Terri Kay Pimental, both of Las Vegas, and Linda Morgan of Toledo, Ohio; one son, Gary Asbury of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Jean Berger of Oregon, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by graveside services in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Dusty Barron Sr.
Dusty Barron Sr., 74, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1923, in Hawaii. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired musician and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; one son, Dusty Barron Jr. of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Rosie Linder of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Alyce Hewlett Bornaise
Alyce Hewlett Bornaise, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Pocatello, Idaho. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Richard Childs of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Barbara Leal of Santa Maria, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Warren Chaney
Warren Chaney, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 11, 1933, in Bellamy, Ala. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired construction foreman.
He is survived by one daughter, Colleen Rivera, one son, Beaver Chaney, two sisters, Ada Jofferion and Dixie Jones, and two brothers, Speedy Chaney and Scott Chaney, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Ruth Mann, Doretta Chaney and Sylvia Chaney-Williamson, all of Oakland, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Delores M. Covert
Delores M. Covert, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Indiana. A resident for nine years, she was a waitress.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; three sons, Randy Covert, Donnie Covert and Larry Covert, all of Indiana; two daughters, Kathy Morgan and Cheryl Smith, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Tom Silakowski of Texas, Edward Scrivnor and Jim Scrivnor, both of Indiana, Mike Scrivnor and Tim Scrivnor, both of Michigan; one sister, Judy Green of Minnesota; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Paul 'Rick' Dickie
Paul "Rick" Dickie, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Texas. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired dock worker and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helene; two daughters, Cheryl Harrington of Stanton, Calif., and Corlin Ferrin of Fullerton, Calif.; one son, Craig Dickie of Henderson; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Daniel Lee Hall
Daniel Lee Hall, 33, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born April 9, 1965, in San Diego. A resident for four years, he was an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; one son, Reiner Hall, and one daughter, Robyn Hall, both of Las Vegas; his father, Richard Hall of San Marcos, Calif.; his mother, Beverly Markham of Oceanside, Calif.; four brothers, David Hall and Robbie Hall, both of California, and Ricky Hall and Steven Hall, both of Escondido, Calif.; two sisters, Debbie Hustead of Escondido and Shelly Nelson of San Marcos.

Stanley F. Hotaling
Stanley F. Hotaling, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 12, 1915, in Warwick, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, he was a musician and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one brother, William Hotaling of Cresskill, N.J.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Russell L. Housman
Russell L. Housman, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 23, 1920, in Missouri. A resident for eight years, he was an assistant foreman for McDonnell-Douglas and an Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by one son, Dan Housman, and one daughter, Linda Phillips, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Katherine R. Jolley
Katherine R. Jolley, 67, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Aitkin, Minn. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired chef.
She is survived by one daughter, Cherlynn Martorano of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; three sons, Tom Jolley of Henderson, Edwin Jolley of Salt Lake City and Mark Jolley of Las Vegas; her mother, Hazel Eggen of Onamia, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sheila Manantan, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for five years, she was born July 12, 1949, in Honolulu.
She is survived by three brothers, Vincent Manantan, Francis Manantan and Reynolds Trunsend.

Joseph Mandell
Joseph Mandell, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1914, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired sheriff's department lieutenant and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Tom Mandell, and one daughter, Judy Siren, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Victor Mandell, and three sisters, Francis Cassioppi, Marie Zandonia and Mamie Schrio, all of Rockford; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rockford. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Mary Ann McGurt
Mary Ann McGurt, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Texas. A resident for 30 years, she was a seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters, Neva Ann Ponder and Gladys Jane Brooks, and one sister, Maureen Savage, all of California; and four grandchildren.

Gladys Beatrice Norwood
Gladys Beatrice Norwood, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1924, in New Hebron, Miss. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Pauline Jefferson, Rosetta Chadwick, Belinda Norwood, Ronnie Norwood and Melvie Norwood, all of Las Vegas; five sons, Larry Norwood and Robert Norwood, both of Gulfport, Miss., Von Norwood of Prentiss, Miss., Charles E. Norwood and London Norwood, both of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Ella Ree Jackson, Nellie Walker of Prentiss, Mary Bilbo of Jackson, Miss., and Essie Mae Williams of Detroit; one brother, J.D. Knight of Washington, D.C.; one sister-in-law, Essie M. Smith of Prentiss; 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 N. Las Vegas Blvd., North Las Vegas. Burial will be in New Hebron.
Mary Jane Otis
Mary Jane Otis, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for two years, she was a retired administrative cashier.
She is survived by one daughter, Patti Johnston of Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Larry Otis of Las Vegas and William Otis of Simi Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Marjorie Robertson
Marjorie Robertson, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1909, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Las Vegas.
She is survived by one son, John C. Robertson of Parowan, Utah; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be in Utah.
Betty Wickman
Betty Wickman, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born May 23, 1920, in Iron River, Mich. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired executive secretary.
She is survived by one brother, Ben Benson of Las Vegas.

Caitlyn Rose Zavardino
Caitlyn Rose Zavardino, 7 days, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1998, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her mother, Jame Haines, and her father, Matthew Zavardino, both of Las Vegas; her grandparents, John Haines and Leith Vanlue, both of Las Vegas and David Zavardino of Maybrook, N.Y.; her great-grandmother, Lillian Sylvester of Las Vegas; and her step-grandparents, David Vanlue of Las Vegas and Cindy Zavardino of Maybrook.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
