Mary D. Blake, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she was a casino cashier and was retired from Sprint after 24 years.

She is survived by two sons, Joe Asaro of Henderson and Billy J. Eason Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Audrey Juarez and Andrea Mayorga, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Lucy Lynn, and two brothers, Ron Martin and Derrald Martin, all of Henderson; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

James T. Conway

James T. Conway, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Retired Officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Nellis Officers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Virginia Conway-Caravajal of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one son, James Conway of Santa Cruz, Calif.; two stepsons, Jon Covello of Santa Cruz, and Craig Covelo of Folsom, Calif.; one sister, Gloria Simpson of Westwood, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Naomi Kay Doane

Naomi Kay Doane, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Aline, Okla. A resident for 10 years, she was a casino cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Everett; one son, Mica Doane, and one daughter, Mylee Winegeart, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Gary Ewing of Hearst, Texas; four sisters, Bobbie Carlson of Titusville, Fla., Colleen Nelson of Carrier, Okla., Connie Schlarb of Purcell, Okla., and Judy Rouse of Mooreland, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Grace Fulford

Grace Fulford, 75, of Las Vegas died Nov. 14. She was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Poland. A resident for 35 years, she was a social worker.

She is survived by two daughters, Becky Teaford and April Arlidge-Jondahl, both of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

John T. Isaac

John T. Isaac, 39, of Las Vegas died Nov. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1959, in Chicago. A resident for one year, he was a warehouse laborer.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, one daughter, Krystal Isaac, and one son, Kyle Isaac, all of Los Angeles; his mother, Nancy Whittenburg of Las Vegas; his step-father, Roy L. Whittenburg Jr. of Los Angeles; one brother, Dennis Bradley of Florida; two sisters, June Marie Reid of Cuba and Toni Louise Alexander of Los Angeles; and one grandchild.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

Herbert Jones

Herbert Jones, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 23, 1943, in South Carolina. A resident for six years, he was a supervisor in the health industry.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Lavetta Jones of San Bernardino, Calif., and Martha Jones, Rhonda Jones and Laverne Jackson, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Herbert Jones, Darryl Jones and Derrick Jones, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Willie Jones, and two sisters, Barbara Jones and Betty Jones, all of Rockhill, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

No local services are scheduled. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ossie M. Kinsey

Ossie M. Kinsey, 38, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 7, 1960, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, she was a guest-room attendant.

She is survived by one daughter, Victoria Kinsley, and seven sisters, Helen, Carolyn, Prisicilla, Zeller Mae, Donna, Debra and Leticia, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Washington of Las Vegas and Earnest Washington of Jean; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and two grandsons.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Wednesday in Grace Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

John S. Marquez

John S. Marquez, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Blackrock, N.M. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired welder in the titanium industry.

He is survived by one daughter, Ida May Diaz of Henderson; two sons, John Marquez Jr. of Henderson and Leroy Marquez of Sacramento; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Christa A. Mercado

Christa A. Mercado, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Friesenheim, Germany. A resident for two years, she was a Texas Station casino cashier.

She is survived by three sons, Jose 'Papo' Mercado of Florida, Hans Ziegler of Hesperia, Calif., and Werner Mercado of Federal Way, Wash.; one daughter, Tina Hoyt of Tumwater, Wash.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Sara A. Miller

Sara A. Miller, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 3, 1916, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Robert Miller, one daughter, Laura Miller, and one brother, Vincent Pollard, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Bunny Kalowski and Anne Kaiser, both of Las Vegas, and Mary Calenda of Bloomfield, N.J.; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today with a 5 p.m. rosary in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Abel Parfitt

Abel Parfitt, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 29, 1912, in New Aberdeen, Saskatchewan. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired welder for an auto frame factory and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille E.; four sons, Abel William Parfitt of Golden Valley, Ariz., Louis John Parfitt of Simi Valley, Calif., George Samuel Parfitt of Westchester, Ohio, and James Luther Parfitt of Las Vegas; one sister, Maude Holton of Florida; one brother, Samuel Parfitt of Georgia; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Agostino Purpura

Agostino Purpura, 86, of Las Vegas died June 11, 1912, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, he was a crane operator for a steel company.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; one son, Vincent Purpura of West Seneca, N.Y.; three daughters, Rose Pierro, Amelia Bennett, Diane Venable and Linda Seeger, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Purpura and Peter Purpura, both of Buffalo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Clarence C. Robinson

Clarence C. Robinson, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for 35 years, he was an insurance investigator for a retail credit company and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Roberta Musselman of Naperville, Ill., and Sue Muus of Las Vegas; two sons, William G. Robinson of Las Vegas and John C. Robinson of Henderson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Darin Reese Savage

Darin Reese Savage, 30, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1968, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an attorney, a member of the Nevada State Bar Association and the Clark County Bar Association.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Kiraly of Las Vegas; his father, James Savage of San Diego; his mother, Elizabeth Roberts, one sister, Chandra McMahon, and his grandmother, Aggie Roberts, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main.

The family suggests donations to the University of Nevada Boyd School of Law.

Milton B. Taylor

Milton B. Taylor, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1921, in Fayetteville, Tenn. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired self-employed advertiser and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Berry Lou; one daughter, Pat Elder of Tulsa, Okla.; one son, Milton "Junior" Taylor of Durant, Okla.; two sisters, Maureen Boyd and Jewell Garner, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Thomas Thompson

Thomas Thompson, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Blytheville, Ark. A resident for four years, he was a laborer in a steel mill and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; five daughters, Barbara J. Peoples, Ruby Thompson, Carol Bonilla and Loretta Thompson, all of Las Vegas, and Joyce Webster of California; six sons, Thomas Thompson Jr., Herbert Thompson and Steven Thompson, all of Las Vegas, Ronald Thompson of Delaware and Joseph Thompson and Charles Thompson, both of Waukegan, Ill.; five brothers, Leather Thompson of Alabama, Emmitt Thompson of Mississippi, Willie Thompson and Robert Thompson, both of Illinois, and Eugene Thompson of Georgia; one sister, Josephine Thompson of Illinois; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Doris West

Doris West, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1928, in Illinois. A resident for six months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Marion; and many relatives in Illinois.

Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Leonard T. Williams Sr.

Leonard T. Williams Sr., 77, of Boulder City died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 12, 1921, in Peekskill, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired driller/blaster in the construction industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie P.; two sons, Leonard T. Williams Jr. of Farmington Hills, Mich., and William M. Williams of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Wednesday in Christ Lutheran Church, Boulder City. Burial will be in Peekskill. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
