Nevada to receive $700,000 for affordable housing

The grants will help build or restore 34 homes and 119 apartments.
the money comes from a private-public partnership headed by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. The agency puts up 10 percent of its annual net profit, promoting projects in Nevada, Arizona and California.
Most of the funds will accommodate families with an income that is 50 percent or less of the median income.
Sen. Richard Bryan announced the grants Monday.
