Joshua W.D. Alves, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Brockton, Mass. A resident for four years, he was a retired sales manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and a deacon at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; one son, Augustine Alves of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Maria Alves of Las Vegas and Rose Alves of Vancouver; one sister, Susan Walker of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 5:30 p.m. rosary at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Las Vegas. A private burial will follow. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Adeline B. Dodson

Adeline B. Dodson, 79, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. A retired machine operator for an aircraft company, she was born April 15, 1919, in Louisiana.

She is survived by one sister, Charity L. Blackman of Los Angeles; three nieces, Patricia W. Brown, Dorothy J. Moore and Beverly A. Washington, and two nephews, Sidney J. Washington and Charlie Brown, all of Los Angeles; and many other great-nieces, great-nephews and friends in Los Angeles and Nevada.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be in California.

Lou Dubravac

Lou Dubravac, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 12, 1912, in Denver. A resident for 14 years, he owned and operated an automotive dealership and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane Farley of Garden Grove, Calif.; one son, Donald Dubravac, two sisters, Ann Stewart and Josephine Dubravac, and one brother, Edward Dubravac, all of Denver; and one grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Patricia Francuski

Patricia Francuski, 49, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Ohio. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one brother, Michael Francuski of North Canton, Ohio.

No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Kenneth L. Frederick

Kenneth L. Frederick, 47, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 1, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a casino cage cashier.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Frederick of Las Vegas and Kimberlee Frederick of Victorville, Calif.; one son, Todd Frederick of Victorville; his mother and stepfather, Alice Marie and Kent Isom of Las Vegas; two sisters, Donna Roberts of Henderson and Licia Barkdull of Beaver, Utah; two brothers, Steven Isom of Pasadena, Md., and David W. Isom of Henderson.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by graveside services p.m. in Memory Gardens.

Trinika Wright Hedrick

Trinika Wright Hedrick, 26, of North Las Vegas died Nov. 28 in North Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1972, in Oklahoma. A resident for 17 years, she was a personnel clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Bryant; one son, Louis Washington, two daughters, Bryanna C. Hedrick and N'Agree Washington, and her mother and stepfather, Doris Wright Collins and Nathanial Collins, all of North Las Vegas; and her father, Clarence Wright of Tulsa, Okla.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Memory Gardens. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Howard 'Kiyi' Hile

Howard 'Kiyi' Hile, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Sunbury, Pa. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired blacksmith for an iron manufacturer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Judith L. Becker of El Cajon, Calif., and Alana S. Hall of Palm Desert, Calif.; one brother, Mahlon Hile of Washington state; two sisters, Mary Ann Marshall of Sunbury, Pa., and Millie Peterman of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Kazuko Huish

Kazuko Huish, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 7, 1929, in Tokyo. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired sales clerk.

She is survived by one son, William Huish of Las Vegas; and one sister, Kimiko Funaki of Tokyo.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Estelle G. Kulwin

Estelle G. Kulwin, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired teacher and former director of the Allied Arts Council.

She is survived by her husband, Albert A.; one son, Michael E. Kulwin of Las Vegas; one daughter, Hollis Lynn Kulwin of Santa Monica, Calif.; her mother, Tillie Gudovitz of Buffalo; and one brother, Seymour Gudovitz of Rochester, N.Y.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Barbara C. McCord

Barbara C. McCord of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 2, in Redlands, Calif. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; two sons, Lawrence Hall of Hamptonville, N.C., and Kenneth Hall of Westminster, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is arranging a private memorial service.

Mafalda Y. Militello

Mafalda Y. Militello, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1920, in New York City. A resident for two years, she was a retired sales associate.

She is survived by two sons, Vincent Militelllo of Las Vegas and Joseph Militello of Lynbrook, N.Y.; one daughter, Antoinette Imperiale of Southampton, N.Y.; one brother, Daniel Vota of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Lillian Elizabeth Miskulin

Lillian Elizabeth Miskulin, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Minnesota. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Croation Fraternal Organization.

She is survived by her husband, Rudolph; three sons, Gerald Miskulin of Long Beach, Calif., Ronald Miskulin of Seattle and George Miskulin of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Carl Edward Johnson, and one sister, Elaine Johnson, both of Duluth, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Charles Rinehart

Charles Rinehart, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born May 4, 1938, in Vichy, Mo. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired Delta Airline customer service agent, an Air Force veteran, a member and past master of Nellis Masonic Lodge Post 46 F&AM, a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of Las Vegas and a member and past director of the Clown Unit at the Zelzah Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Teresa Oxborrow, and one son, Scott Bedford, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Myrtle Rinehart of St. James, Mo.; one sister, Carol Walker of Lebanon, Mo.; two brothers, Donald Rinehart of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., and Wayne Rinehart of Fairland, Okla.; and one grandchild.

Annie Smith

Annie Smith, 58, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 15, 1940, in Jacksonville, Fla. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Williams of Las Vegas, Debra Smith-Woods of Palmdale, Calif., and April Hargraves of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sons, Dwight Smith of Fayetteville and Anthony D. Smith and Floyd Hargraves, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Juanita Wright of Henderson; one brother, Vonnie J. Smith of Long Beach, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Frieda 'Pat' Talmadge

Frieda 'Pat' Talmadge, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Cleveland, N.D. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired telephone company supervisor.

She is survived by three brothers, David Blaskowsky of Gackle, N.D., Ruben Blaskowsky of Vancouver, Wash., and Aaron Blaskowsky of Santa Ana, Calif.; and one sister, Martha O'Neil of Lacey, Wash.
