The INS, as reported Dec. 1 in the Sun, is deporting to his native India an alien by the name of Suresh Kumas Goel.

The man is married to an American woman who has been overwhelmed with traumatic family problems. Now I am one American who is fed up with uncontrolled immigration into our country, but the lack of compassion by some arrogant INS official is inexcusable.

This is another display of typical government hypocrisy. Why doesn't the INS go after, and deport, the tens of thousands of Mexicans, Cubans, etc. who are here in the U.S. illegally, many of whom are in gangs committing crimes and terrorizing our cities?

No doubt, a lack of backbone. Shame on the INS.
