The Sun Herald newspaper in Biloxi, quoting hotel General Manager Bill Kilduff, reported details of the expansion will be disclosed in January and that this is the first phase of an even larger development.
This is the latest in a wave of hotel-casino construction on the Gulf Coast. Room inventory there is expected to exceed 16,000 by the end of next year, according to the Gulf Coast Hotel-Motel Association. There were 6,447 rooms in 1993.
